The decrypted message

How the signed 6,448-letter ciphertext was decrypted, what it says, and what it does not prove.

The central ciphertext is solved

The onion service's canonical themessage.txt body contains exactly 6,448 uppercase letters. A deterministic 4-by-4 Hill operation using a number block recovered from the nothingisrandom.txt bitmap yields coherent English across all 1,612 blocks, without dropping or inserting characters.

Reading boundary. The authenticated output contains no spaces or punctuation. No author-supplied word segmentation survives; the raw 6,448-character file is therefore the canonical quotation. A later auto-spaced transcription was tested and does not normalize back to the authenticated character stream, so it is not reproduced as evidence.

The reproducibility chain

  1. Canonical inputThe audit starts with the exact 6,448-letter body and asserts its SHA-256. The source record documents the reconstructed PGP verification that authenticates that body.
  2. Bitmap reconstructionThe preserved 1,422-digit recovery expands deterministically to 3,151 bits, arranged as 137 rows by 23 columns. Its original signature armor did not survive, so that recovery is labelled primary-derived.
  3. Extracted matrixRows 131-135 contain [[1,3,7,15],[6,2,14,5],[8,12,23,17],[9,16,4,11]]. Its determinant is 12,375 = 25 (mod 26), so it is invertible.
  4. DecryptionApply the matrix directly to four-letter ciphertext column vectors over A=0 through Z=25.
  5. Fixed resultAll 1,612 blocks produce a 6,448-letter plaintext with a fixed SHA-256, published alongside the script, input hashes, matrix coordinates, and modular inverse.

Where the Hill matrix sits in the bitmap

The key is not inferred from English output: it is read directly from four marked fields in rows 131–135 of the reconstructed 137 × 23 bitmap. The full coordinate list, bit strings, input hashes, modular inverse and output hash are in the linked audit.

What the message says

Content note. The plaintext contains anti-religious rhetoric, claims of superior beings and genetic selection, and language about controlled human intermediaries. It is reproduced as evidence of the ARG's content, not endorsed as fact.

The speaker claims to belong to a species operating from another layer of the visible universe and to be working on a bridge for renewed contact.

It is not random

The message claims that 137 was deliberately planted in sacred writings. Decryption proves this sentence was authored; it does not prove the claim.

The first endpoint

The plaintext ends with VISITBITLYAABBBCCCC. It is an instruction, not a cipher fragment: visit bit.ly/aabbbcccc. The working link leads to a Dropbox archive containing an ONION folder and knowledge.txt.

knowledge.txt is a PGP-signed Tengri 137 message with the text: "The last step is coming. Visit this place again!"

This was a time-sensitive first path, not the final surviving endpoint. On 22 November 2017 a later signed message said that nobody had found the hint, declared the first path gone, and opened bit.ly/rendezvous137. Primary-byte check

On 27 July 2026, the public download was preserved as a 1,221-byte ONION.zip containing exactly one 967-byte knowledge.txt. Its OpenPGP v4 RSA/SHA-256 clear-signature validates under fingerprint 2A2C0AD4ED1CAD8353A30056D152D6C5666AB731. The signed body has ordinary CRLF lines, one blank paragraph separator, and no tabs or trailing spaces: it does not contain a simple whitespace-to-binary or Morse stream. Independent reproducibility

The audit is dependency-free and can be rerun locally from the preserved inputs. It records the digit-to-bit rule, the exact bitmap coordinates of all 16 integers, the direct Hill convention, the two-sided modular-inverse check, the plaintext hash, and the complete raw output.
