FLOOD: the 2017 document campaign

A source-led reconstruction of the May–June 2017 helper, document, and distribution campaign.

MAY–JUNE 2017 · ACCOUNT-LED PUBLICATION CAMPAIGN

FLOOD was a document-release campaign, not a new cipher route

In May 2017, the @666ab731 account recruited helpers, ran a countdown, published a FLOOD instruction, displayed prepared mailings, and directed readers to a Dropbox folder. The recovered record demonstrates a coordinated public-document campaign. It does not supply a further decryption key for Page 23, the audio route, or Rendezvous.

What survives from the folder

Preview of the 2017 High Compressed Solar Light proposal
energy.pdfA readable one-page proposal about concentrating and transporting solar light; not a demonstrated technology or a hidden-message container.
Preview of the 2017 Manifesto of Humanity
manifesto.pdfA readable political manifesto, explicitly signed Tengri 137 in the document; its program is not validated by the signature.
Third-party 2024 repost of the 2017 FLOOD distribution instructions
Later repost of the instructionsReadable visual evidence of the campaign plan, not a recovered original PDF.

What the file checks show

BYTE MATCH

Two documents are preserved

A 27 July 2026 read-only folder snapshot contains byte-identical copies of energy.pdf and manifesto.pdf, with the 2017 timestamps and hashes recorded in the audit.

NEGATIVE CONTAINER CHECK

No ordinary PDF payload

The two PDFs have no attachments, JavaScript/actions, annotations, post-EOF data, or detected printable RGB-LSB run. This closes common container tricks, not every unspecified encoding theory.

SECONDARY REPOST

Three distribution paths

The later readable instruction image says to mail the documents to media/institutions, display and photograph the manifesto, and share all documents through personal and social networks.

What is missing—and why that matters

The original instructions.pdf does not appear in the preserved folder snapshot or local corpus. The 2024 image is useful contemporary-looking content, but it cannot supply original PDF metadata, an author signature, or a complete provenance chain. The live folder also contains 2024–25 Uniqmos, TLP, and Politeia files; their current presence must not be silently backdated to the 2017 release.

Editorial boundary. FLOOD documents a public campaign and later ideological continuity. It is not a continuation key for the central 2016–17 cryptographic chain.
