2026 findings

The reproduced cipher result, the bitmap mechanism, and the remaining boundaries.

What changed in 2026

Reproducibility passes closed the central cipher questions and corrected the ending chronology. They demonstrate a full Hill-cipher decryption of themessage.txt, recover the exact bitmap rule, identify two signed paths, and transcribe the replacement route's eleven kolams. These results explain construction and publication mechanics; they do not authenticate the manifesto's claims or identify its author.

1. The message is decrypted

themessage.txt contains 6,448 signed letters. Repeated n-grams align at four-character boundaries. The 4-by-4 numeric block in the nothingisrandom.txt bitmap supplies the invertible Hill decryption matrix [[1,3,7,15],[6,2,14,5],[8,12,23,17],[9,16,4,11]]. The reproduced plaintext covers every letter; randomized invertible-key controls do not reproduce its English word coverage.

The plaintext is an anti-religious, extra-dimensional-contact manifesto. Its final instruction, VISITBITLYAABBBCCCC, resolves as visit bit.ly/aabbbcccc. That working address leads to a Dropbox archive containing signed knowledge.txt. A later signed message identifies this as a missed, time-limited first path and opens the surviving rendezvous route.

2. The bitmap encoding is fixed

The 1,422-digit nothingisrandom.txt string expands deterministically: each 0 emits one one-bit; every digit 1 through 9 emits that many zero-bits. The 867 zeros and 2,284 summed non-zero digits produce exactly 3,151 pixels, or 23 by 137, matching the preserved bitmap bit for bit.

3. The added figures are deliberate geometry

PRIMARY-DERIVED

Rows 84-100

Perfect mirror symmetry: an hourglass / double-cone profile with a narrow waist.

PRIMARY-DERIVED

Rows 111-129

Perfect 180-degree rotational, but not reflection, symmetry: a chiral two-fold figure.

REJECTED

Numeric decoding

Atomic-number window searches fall within a density-matched random null; they do not establish a payload.

REJECTED

Bridge and helix

Authenticated later figures do not beat the arbitrary-hourglass control after multiple-comparison correction.

What is still genuinely unresolved

Other recurring questions are blocked rather than unsolved: the original WAV bytes are lost; an author-independent reconstruction of row 9 remains ambiguous without another rule; and there is no cryptographically authenticated identity bridge.

4. The endpoint has two paths

The working bit.ly/aabbbcccc route reaches signed knowledge.txt; it was not a placeholder. A later signed message says that nobody found the time-limited hint, closes that first opportunity, and opens bit.ly/rendezvous137. The replacement image is itself authenticated. Its footer value 2143762625 converts to Monday, 7 December 2037, 01:37:05 UTC, exactly matching the weekday printed beside it.

5. The kolam ring decodes

Contemporary 2017 slides decode the eleven labels as Turkish numbers from BİR through ON BİR. Using the published 2007 crossing model, each 145-dot pattern yields a 16-by-16 matrix and 64 hexadecimal Kambi units. A 9-by-9 local-shape classifier separates uncrossings (at most 25 bright pixels) from crossings (at least 29), with an empty gap. The instruction moves panels 7–11 ahead of 1–6; a one-nibble cyclic phase then reproduces all 2,816 bits and a completely printable 352-character warning.
