# 2018 video “next message” chronology audit

## Scope

The uploader-labelled YouTube reply says that a key to understanding the “next message” is hidden in the video. This audit asks only whether the dated, recovered author records identify that next message. It does not turn proximity, the word `Bennu`, or musical resemblance into a link.

## Fixed chronology

- The saved YouTube metadata dates `kQx2G3x7_WQ` to 2018-01-25.
- The earliest retained community copy of the reply is a Reddit post at 2018-04-08T06:04:21Z (secondary evidence, not an author signature).
- Between those dates the canonical recovered account timeline has 2 non-reply posts: `973792587294404608`, `976500950046265344`.
- The source timeline itself reports a lower bound of 38 unrecovered or unenumerated posts, so this interval is not proven exhaustive.

## Recovered interval events

| UTC | Status | Source text / mechanical result | What it proves |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 2018-03-14T05:26:59.000Z | [`973792587294404608`](https://x.com/666ab731/status/973792587294404608) | S. H. (likely date-context allusion to [Stephen Hawking](https://www.cam.ac.uk/news/professor-stephen-hawking-1942-2018), not an author-selected video link) | No preserved author text names the YouTube video, its comment, or a next-message target. |
| 2018-03-21T16:49:03.000Z | [`976500950046265344`](https://x.com/666ab731/status/976500950046265344) | 51 6d 56 75 62 6e 55 3d → hex ASCII `QmVubnU=` → Base64 `Bennu` | No preserved author text names the YouTube video, its comment, or a next-message target. |

## Result

No preserved source selects either interval tweet as the video's “next message.” `Bennu` is a genuine two-stage mechanical decoding of the 21 March tweet; it is not a demonstrated endpoint, instruction, URL, or sequel to the video. `S. H.` is plausibly a same-date allusion to Stephen Hawking's death, but the author supplies neither that expansion nor a link from it to the video.

The 20 January PGP-signed poem predates the video upload, so it cannot be the next message in a simple chronological sense. The active report should retain the two later tweets as date-adjacent candidates, but not merge any of them into the 2018 video route without a source-authenticated handoff.

## Limits

- The YouTube reply is platform-labelled, mutable evidence rather than a PGP signature; its visible time label is relative.
- The retained account corpus is not exhaustive. It documents a lower bound of unrecovered posts, so the absence of a link here cannot prove that no other message ever existed.
- The 8 April Reddit record establishes that the claim circulated by that date; it does not establish authorship of the Reddit user or an exact posting time for the YouTube reply.
